A Seattle man accused of pimping two homeless girls is now facing child prostitution charges.

King County prosecutors contend Demarquez X. Austin pimped one 14-year-old girl and another 16-year-old on the streets of SeaTac and Seattle earlier this year, while also advertising the prostituted children on Backpage.com. The girls are alleged to have brought Austin several thousand dollars.

In February, police officers and federal agents with a FBI task force began searching for a missing Federal Way girl.

Today Pierce County Prosecutor Mark Lindquist charged Tyler Elkins, 20, with promoting sexual abuse of a minor and child rape in the third degree for having sex with, then prostituting a 15-year-old girl.

“We vigorously prosecute these cases where vulnerable young girls are exploited, raped, and prostituted,” said Prosecutor Mark Lindquist.

Local authorities in the summer of 2011 were investigating a case of child pornography production but ended up busting an alleged pimp and his associate after a 15-year-old girl accused them of prostituting her by way of online escort advertisements.

Dontavious M. Blake, 32, and Tara Jo Moore, 26, are facing federal charges of sex trafficking of minors and inducing a minor to engage in commercial sex acts. They both have a pre-trial detention hearing Tuesday.

Murfreesboro detectives said Kareem Wiggins, 22, and Robert Wright, 26,  moved girls around on different days to meet men for sex at different motels.

"It didn't work. We got them anyway," said Major Clyde Adkison with the Murfreesboro Police Department.

Investigators caught on after they say the pair advertised on BackPage.com and even used the minors' photographs.

Right now they know of at least two 16-year-old girls, and a young woman, but there could be others involved.

A 30-year-old Orlando, Fla., man was sentenced to 40 years in prison on Thursday for enticing a 14-year-old girl into prostitution by convincing her she was his girlfriend and plying her with alcohol, Ecstasy and other drugs. According to U.S. Attorney Dana Boente's office, Benson December "Haiti" Coriolant's conviction was the first for human sex trafficking in the Eastern District of Louisiana.

Airick Creighton, 20, of Norcross was sentenced to 25 years in prison Friday for forcing a 14-year-old girl into prostitution.

Prosecutors said Creighton brought the girl from Atlanta to a rented motel room in Norcross, where he helped her advertise prostitution services on Backpage.com.

The victim was rescued and returned to her family following an undercover prostitution sting conducted by the Gwinnett County Police Department.

Creighton will also have to be registered for life as a sex offender.
